I have always been fascinated by Ecuador. I can still
remember the awe and amazement I felt as a youngster when my family
would tell me stories of their trips to the "middle of the world."
At the time I didn’t understand that the land spanning from the jungles
of the Amazon to the Galapagos Islands was a country called Ecuador.
Born and raised in New York, I am the youngest of six children from
parents of Ecuadorian descent. I had the best of both worlds: I grew
up speaking English and Spanish, enjoyed Ecuadorian culture, customs
and food at home while I learned American values in school. It was
while earning my bachelors degree in engineering and working in a
fortune ten company that I learned many valuable business lessons.
One of the most important lessons that I took away from that experience
was that customer satisfaction is earned through quality of service
as well as personal, prompt attention to customer needs. As a young
college student, I knew that what I wanted to do with my life was
to "give back" and encourage awareness of Ecuador. This way a service
would be provided that would have a positive impact to the environment
and preserve the numerous indigenous cultures and traditions of Ecuador.
That was how the idea of Mountain Views Inn (M V I) was conceived.
Based on my love of the landscape, food, people and culture of the
many regions of Ecuador, personal itineraries have been customized
to combine adventure, travel, sightseeing and plenty of leisure time
in which to take in the sights, sounds and other pleasures of this
rich country. MVI is a luxury garden and spa resort located in Tumbaco,
only twenty minutes away from the Ecuadorian capital city of Quito.
It is strategically located so that you can sleep in the serenity
and beauty of the Andes, and within minutes, visit the majestic cathedrals,
art museums and other historic sites of Quito. This is a great bonding
experience for your family and friends. It allows everyone to enjoy
this adventurous travel together and have events to talk about for
the rest of their lives.
